The Home
This 1900s era home is a charming historic farmhouse that was recently updated. Spread out, play and relax on the 2.7 acre property, which includes 100 feet of lake frontage on Island Lake near Moose Lake.
Inside the home there are 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 three-quarter bathrooms on the main level - one with a shower and one with a tub. An office with a twin daybed and trundle may be used as another bedroom on the main level (this room does not have a full door leading into the kitchen).
The kitchen has a gas stove, dishwasher, and is stocked with basic cooking amenities making it easy to get comfortable for a longer stay.
The living room has plenty of seating, a TV, DVD player and a selection of DVDs.
With two large windows looking over the lake, the large garage is another great place to hang out. Couches, bar space, ping pong, foosball and a selection of yard games are at your disposal.
The Lake
Island Lake is about 540 acres, with a maximum depth of 42 feet. In front of the home, the lake has a gradual slope and sandy shoreline with a firepit and seating that make it a great place for hanging out.
Put in your boat at the public launch just down the road, or borrow the canoe or kayak available at the house.

The Area
The Island Lake Retreat is surrounded by possibilities! Duluth, MN is just 40 miles north for an easy day trip. For an adventure closer to home, here is a short list of nearby places of interest.
